Once you officially book your session, we always begin our process with a phone or Zoom chat to discuss your ideas, themes, colors, and general hopes for the outcome. After our discussion, I start laying out props and planning the color scheme. On the day of the session, our professional makeup artist will begin with mom to do her hair and makeup. Next up are the sibling and family photos; this is by design because, after this segment, toddlers may leave with dad or stay for the remainder of the session. Once siblings have had their photos taken, I focus 100% on baby. After the photos are edited, you are invited back to the studio to select your products. When your products are ready, we hand-deliver your orders to your home.

Newborn Photography FAQs
You will be required to purchase (2) separate creative fees, but you can get away with 1 collection if you want to make a combination newborn/maternity album.
Professional hair and makeup is nice, but I will not be requiring it. Can I pay a lower creative fee?
Unfortunately, we do not have special pricing that does not include hair and makeup as part of our full experience. However, we can offer you a $100 print credit towards the collection you build.
Approximately 1–2 weeks following your session your photos will be ready for viewing. We will meet in-person or online through Zoom to determine which images you love the most. We always start with a slideshow presentation, and then we select your favorites. Prints and albums can take up to 6 weeks for production. Once your package is paid for, I send you an online gallery for you to download your images and some online proofs to approve your album art before it goes to production.
Create-A-Collection begins at $1650 and digital-only collections begin at $1350. Building your own collection has its benefits because you buy only what you love! Depending on your choices, you should budget anywhere from 2-6K for a complete collection with an album and digital files.
Yes! You may choose any 8 images for a flat rate of $1350. Additional digital files beyond 8 are sold as an add-on for $200 per image.

How it works
The creative fee is paid at the time of booking your session. If you are booking in advance, this allows you to secure a day in my calendar when you are between 28-34 weeks" or 1-2 weeks within your due date. No products or digital files are included in the creative fee. The creative fee covers the planning and preparation for your shoot, professional hair and makeup and the time it takes to shoot. There are 2 options for obtaining prints and digital files; Create-A-Collection OR Digital only.
* Ideally, we schedule maternity sessions when mom is between 28-34 weeks. Newborn sessions are scheduled according to the due date.
