The Blog
This summer has been a really hot one in Dallas and I’ve been doing a lot of indoor activities with the kids lately. I love that one of my daughter’s favorite games to play is “photographer” and simply put, that’s where she has me do a photo shoot of her. I’ve been making it a point to let her have photos on her terms so I don’t burn her out because photographer’s child syndrome really is a thing people! She inspired this set up because she loves being a princess and riding around on her play unicorn.
Another activity that is fresh on her mind during the photo shoot is the ballet that she learned at the dance school in town. When I take kids photos, I try to keep it short and sweet by having her show me all her moves while she twirled trotted along with her unicorn.
I love variation of the same pose and I made sure to get some shots of her just playing and with the different props. This backdrop was is Twinkle Sky purchased from baby dream backdrops and her outfit was an impulse buy at their booth during my week at Texas Schools! The unicorn came from the going out of business sale at Toys R Us and I’m not sure where the princess crown came from.
Last but not least, the clouds were just a bag of fiber-fil stuffing from my crafts.
Sometimes you just can’t get your tiara out of the clouds. Or your clouds out of your tiara!
Not only do I love working with kids, but my other specialties include Maternity Photography, Newborn Photography & Baby Milestone sessions. I also do family photography! Contact me by sending me a message.
