Whenever I start a newborn photo shoot, I almost always have colors figured out before you arrive. This started as a boho baby photoshoot inspired by all the things currently boho but quickly transitioned to other sets. Neutral colors are my jam and I loved how well this setup came together. After learning about my work through searching up a McKinney newborn photographer, This little baby’s parents gave me the honor of photographing her just 2 weeks old. We ended the session with some adorable newborn police photos.
I meticulously plan the color scheme for each newborn photo shoot, ensuring everything is ready before you even arrive. For this particular session, I initially aimed for a boho-inspired look, drawing inspiration from the current boho trends. However, as the shoot progressed, I smoothly transitioned to other captivating sets. I have always been drawn to neutral colors, and I was thrilled with how seamlessly this setup came together. When this little baby’s parents stumbled upon my work while searching for a McKinney newborn photographer, they entrusted me with the incredible opportunity to capture their precious two-week-old baby. To wrap up the session, we had some adorable moments with the newborn police-themed photos.
We concluded the shoot with a series of heartwarming images featuring the newborn in police-themed attire. Each photo session is meticulously planned, ensuring a carefully curated color scheme and preparedness before your arrival. Initially inspired by boho trends, I seamlessly transitioned between various captivating setups throughout the session. Neutral colors have always captivated me, and I was delighted with how effortlessly this particular arrangement came together. The parents of this adorable two-week-old baby discovered my work while searching for a McKinney newborn photographer, entrusting me with the incredible opportunity to immortalize their precious little one.
When life give you lemons – make lemonade, right? No really, I just liked how blue and yellow would look together. Then this sweet little baby held the lemon perfectly in her clutches! It’s easy to take great photos when your subjects are all cute. The green wreath was another attempt at a baby boho photoshoot.

I love being a baby photographer! One big request mama had was to capture some officer newborn photos to honor dad’s service as a police officer. I love requests like this because it gives me the perfect opportunity to use my newborn police props! Yes you better watch out, those are mini baby handcuffs! I got them from No2Willowlane one of my favorite newborn prop clothing shop.
The police-themed newborn photoshoot was a unique and heartfelt way to celebrate the father’s service in law enforcement. I was thrilled to incorporate my collection of newborn police props into the session. One of the standout props was the adorable set of mini baby handcuffs, which added an element of playfulness to the portraits. It’s always a joy to create meaningful and personalized photographs that capture the essence of a family’s story. The proud parents were delighted with the final images, cherishing the memory of their little one’s connection to their heroic dad.
In the last part of the photoshoot I had to become a Dallas baby whisperer to get some naked posed shots of baby. We did some in a bucket and then got brave for some difficult poses.
Being a McKinney newborn photographer can be tricky business at times. This little baby girl took some soothing while I nursed her to soothe and get the intended shots to put it together in photoshop. This little video below shares how I do it.
