Are you ready for back to school 2018 to begin? I love summer time in Dallas and getting to spend extra time with the kids and less time working as a child photographer. Yet, I also love it when school is in session because we have a better routine. Everything seems to work more smoothly when our household is on a routine! With that being said, I am offering my first series of back to school mini sessions amidst the full studio session I offer for child photography.
Full studio session vs The mini session
Mini sessions are different from what my regular full studio sessions are like. With a mini, the set is what it is and it takes half the time to complete. You’ll receive fewer photos than a full session and no extra outfit changes. A full studio session allows more time for outfit & backdrop changes and I also like to personalize your session by learning your likes and dislikes. Having knowledge of your home decor style and preferred color palette also helps! Learn more about what I charge for the different sessions I offer.
Back to School 2018 mini session
This year for back to school 2018 I have created a simple set that I hope you love! I recently purchased the desk online (a steal for $20) and I polished it up with some spray paint on the metal and sanded and re-stained the wooden parts. I simply LOVE how it turned out! Add in some vintage books, some apples and a globe and school is in session!

My specialities are working with babies and newborns. If you know an expecting mama, send her my way!
I am an artist, wife, mom, foodie, coffee aficionado, animal lover and adore all things magical. I am blessed to be a mom of 2 amazing kids that both bring endless joy to my life. Beyond photography, I love to sew and many of the adorable outfits and accessories seen on the babies I photograph are handmade by me. After graduating from the Art Institute of Dallas in 2006 I briefly worked in the fashion industry until I became pregnant with my son in 2008. My children have been my biggest inspiration in my journey as a portrait photographer and continue to challenge me every day!
Newborn babies and belly bumps have always had a special place in my heart and it is an honor to get to work with so many wonderful families. I look forward to meeting you and capturing your family’s unique story
