Whenever I start a newborn photo shoot, I almost always have colors figured out before you arrive. This started as a boho baby photoshoot inspired by all the things currently boho but quickly transitioned to other sets. Neutral colors are my jam and I loved how well this setup came together. After learning about my work through searching up a McKinney newborn photographer, This little baby’s parents gave me the honor of photographing her just 2 weeks old. We ended the session with some adorable newborn police photos.

When life give you lemons – make lemonade, right? No really, I just liked how blue and yellow would look together. Then this sweet little baby held the lemon perfectly in her clutches! It’s easy to take great photos when your subjects have all the cuteness. The green wreath was another attempt at a baby boho photoshoot.

I love being a baby photographer! One big request mama had was to capture some officer newborn photos to honor dad’s service as a police officer. I love requests like this because it gives me the perfect opportunity to use my newborn police props! Yes you better watch out, those are mini baby handcuffs! I got them from No2Willowlane one of my favorite newborn prop clothing shop.

In the last part of the photoshoot I had to become a Dallas baby whisperer to get some naked posed shots of baby. We did some in a bucket and then got brave for some difficult poses.
Being a McKinney newborn photographer can be tricky business at times. This little baby girl took some soothing while I nursed her to soothe and get the intended shots to put it together in photoshop. This little video below shares how I do it.

I am an artist, wife, mom, foodie, coffee aficionado, animal lover and adore all things magical. I am blessed to be a mom of 2 amazing kids that both bring endless joy to my life. Beyond photography, I love to sew and many of the adorable outfits and accessories seen on the babies I photograph are handmade by me. After graduating from the Art Institute of Dallas in 2006 I briefly worked in the fashion industry until I became pregnant with my son in 2008. My children have been my biggest inspiration in my journey as a portrait photographer and continue to challenge me every day!
Newborn babies and belly bumps have always had a special place in my heart and it is an honor to get to work with so many wonderful families. I look forward to meeting you and capturing your family’s unique story
